Who wants to date me?

Today I was lurking on a messageboard and someone posed a question asking about the non-negotiables people have when it comes to dating. I think I have one of the largest lists in the world, which might explain why a drop dead gorgeous woman like myself hasn't went on a date since....??? It doesn't matter. I don't think what I expect is unreasonable. Here's the short version:

Share my beliefs. Basically, you need to be a Christian. We need to have the same morals and be in agreement on important issues to get along.

Under 30. I tend to be more attracted to OLDER men, but after weighing the good and bad, I've realized I need to stick with someone closer to my age.

I Am Number One. Two is not an option, therefore you need to be completely single. I have to come first and that won't happen if you have kids, ex-wives and/or babymamas.

Committed. Any man I date must be interested in a committed relationship that may ultimately lead to marriage. I am not trying to get married and/or have kids anytime soon. However I don't believe in casual dating/sex. It's a waste of my precious time and energy.

Non-Smoker/Occasional drinker. Smokers smell like smoke; Smoke Stinks. Drunkards do stupid things; Stupid people are frustrating.

Financially Responsible. I spend my money wisely, I pay all my bills on time and my credit is damn good. I am not interested in acquiring your debt in the future.

Somewhat Attractive. I don't date pretty boys, but I have to find something physically attractive about you.

Brutally Honest. Even if you think it'll hurt, you might as well tell me the truth because I'll find out eventually. I ALWAYS DO!

Good Eating Habits. You must LOVE pizza, seriously.

Fluent In English. I'm not familiar with all the new slang/ebonics terms and don't care to learn. Also, it would be great if you could have a conversation without cursing.

hmmm... normally i would say, i wouldn't be that 'picky' - but looking at your list, it seems to me it more about knowing who you are and then therefore knowing who/what you need. cool.

Mister Bachelor never compromises. I would also demand that the man have his father in his life. If he doesnt, he will be a mama's boy and easily run by women. Your girlfriends may THINK they want that but they are not old enough to realize they dont.

Excellent! I drew out a list of all the qualities I wanted in a guy and smack bang! It all came true.

I don't think anyone should settle for lesser than their conscience would permit. Compromise is a killer of self and of relationships...

But, if you don't mind my asking, what are the 'bads' about dating older men?

At least you know what you want and not willing to compromise alot of ppl don't. I don't think your being picky or unreasonable you just have high standards.Eveyone should want the best for themselves.
